Chapter 1: Introduction
The ancient Egyptians worshiped Amen-Ra, the sun god. They ended every prayer with his name. The sun many thousands of miles away from earth provides essential energy for life. The ancient Egyptians realized that man had to acknowledge the sun for its enormous power, as though it were god.
In our not so distant future, all humans will develop a new found respect for the power of the sun, as did the ancient Egyptians thousands of years ago. In a world grappling with dwindling oil reserves and the urgent need for renewable energy, a new dawn is breaking. Suncoins, a cryptocurrency fueled by the power of the sun, are emerging as a revolutionary alternative to traditional currencies, promising a more sustainable and equitable future. But this shift towards a clean energy economy faces fierce opposition from powerful oil corporations, determined to maintain their grip on the energy market and continue polluting the planet.
The majority of the world's governments decreed a mandate for all entities utilizing technologies that consumed vast amounts of energy; that they must produce a sustainable power generation solution to remain operational. These same governments also saw the great impact that Artificial Intelligence (AI) not only had on energy consumption but also on how it greatly affected human jobs by replacing humans with AI agents (cyber and real world humanoid robots). These governments thus also decreed a need for any entity using AI to automate human jobs must also provide a means, mechanical and otherwise, to provide a livable output freely available to the equivalent number of jobs removed from society as a whole by the employment of AI agents. In other words, the greater populus should not have to compete with Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), an AI smarter than humans in all professional job categories, seeking employment for a livable income.
